Starting in April 2020 the German association FBDi has had good experiences with Bi-Weekly Conference Call, which takes place every 2 weeks on Thursdays at 09:00 on ZOOM.
The web-conference was originally intended to openly exchange information on measures to contain and deal with CoVid19 Pandemie in companies on owner and management level. It quickly became more.
In an open and relaxed atmosphere, the participants also exchange ideas about market development and the positioning of distribution. External speakers could also be won, for example the chief economist of the VDMA Dr. Wiechers gave a one-hour lecture on the expectations of our main customers in July and Lutz Klaus, consultant and specialist in online marketing, gave a one-hour lecture on digital marketing.
But many helpful tips and tricks were and are also discussed on dealing with mobile work (home office), the need for customer visits or process organization in the company.
This is a good example of how the use of the new media enables more intensive cooperation despite – or perhaps because of – the travel restrictions.
